Adoption Costs

Travel

Travel is defined as the professionals expenses charged to travel for counseling, case management, or to transport the birth parents. Most professionals charge a fixed hourly travel charge when they are traveling to provide services. If some cases, there are travel charges if the birth parents need taxi services to doctor's appointments, etc.

Facilitators- They do not handle this part of the process; it is the adoptive family's responsibility.

Other professionals - They will usually indicate their hourly charge. When choosing a professional, it is important to understand their hourly charges.
