We began our adoption journey just over one year ago, in December 2006. After trying and failing to become pregnant and being subject to numerous tests, our doctors finally advised against my becoming pregnant. We had discussed adoption numerous times before as something we might think of in the future. Well, the "future" came up extra fast! It took a couple months of discussion and research until we decided that this was absolutely what we wanted to do. We selected American Adoptions as the agency that we wanted to work with to make our dream of a family a reality.

First of all we would like to say THANK YOU to our son Tustin’s birth mom, Mayriah, for making us MOMMY and DADDY! An absolute dream come true.

The people at American Adoptions were so friendly and knowledgeable, and provided tremendous guidance and support through all of the preliminary steps.

After 3 years of infertility treatments, my husband and I decided we needed to start living our lives without the constant timetable of medications and procedures. We had considered using a surrogate but then we had heard of someone who had used your agency and had fantastic results. Our dream was to start a family and we felt that American Adoptions were the ones that could help us.

Erin is two years old now and a ball of energy. She’s very spunky and bright. She is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. On Sunday July 9, 2006 Julie and Guy hosted what we hope will be the first of many Central NJ American Adoptions adoptive family events, with a picnic at our house. Over the last 3 1/2 years since we adopted Daniel we have been lucky to make friends with 2 couples that we did not know before and become closer friends with another couple simply by answering questions for them about the adoption process.

Wow! Stephanie is now 16 ½ months old! Can you believe it?
