You never think you will be one of those couples you hear about who can’t get pregnant no matter what they do. Then, one day it became a reality. Suddenly, my husband and I became one of those couples. We knew we wanted a family and fertility wasn’t for me so we started considering adoption. Thinking back, I knew I could love any baby, it didn’t have to be biological. Every time I would see a baby I was drawn to it and found myself saying, “I could take this baby home and love it as if it were my own biological child.” That’s how I knew adoption was right for my husband and me.

I remember American Adoptions saying that somehow the right baby always ends up with the right family at the right time. They really know what they're taking about.

We truly feel our little boy is a miracle and will always be the most precious gift of our lives. It is just amazing he came to us on Christmas Day! When we came home with him in early January we felt that the North Star was shining over our house.

We decided that adoption was the way for us and turned to American Adoptions in August of 2002. It turned out to be the best and most important decision in our lives.

We can't thank everyone enough at American Adoptions for everthing that they have done to help us through our whole process, especially Roxanne. From the first time we talked to her on the phone, she helped ease our minds and made sure that we understood everything! She was a huge help and became a wonderful friend to our whole family!

We still remain in contact with Amanda and her family. They are a very special family and we think so much of them. Nolan is a wonderful baby that we love so very much. We tell everyone what a great adoption experience we had and that we could not have asked for a better birthmom. Our lives are so blessed and we know that it was meant to be...it was God's will.
