We waited just three months to be matched each time. Everyone we worked with was pleasant and helpful. Let me tell you about our experiences.

Now our lives are complete and I have God and the birth mothers to thank for choosing my husband and I to be the parents of our 2 most precious gifts, our son and daughter.

We knew that we could be waiting 6 months, 12 months, etc., and never dreamed for a minute that our wait after activation would be not six months, but approximately 6 weeks!

Out of all of our adoptions American Adoption had to be our easiest. The waiting time was very short and we are planning on adopting again in the future.

In January 2007 my husband and I started the process of adopting. Jim has 2 children from his first marriage, this child would be our first. We worked hard to get the initial process completed, home studies, background checks, finger printing, the process seemed daunting and endless but we knew the work would be well worth it. April 2007 we were activated with American Adoptions and our profile was being shown. Then in May the Thursday prior to Memorial day a Category A situation caught our attention.

Our story of adoption was a fairy-tale dream-come-true. It honestly could not have gone more smoothly. We decided early on that we were interested in adopting twins.

American Adoptions offered so much support and understanding to both my husband and I and to Megan and her family. Our son, Jack is 5 months old today and there is not a day goes by that I do not think about how fortunate we are to have him in our lives. He is truly a blessing to our family and for that, I owe his birth mother, Megan! I love you and think of you everyday.
