Anthony and Martha's Adoption Story

When Anthony and I got married, we both decided to start our family immediately. After being married for five years, visiting three top infertility doctors, and having infertility treatments, which included surgery for myself, we were told that we should consider different avenues in creating a family.
The chance of conceiving a child, the doctor told us, was only 6%. That left us with a 94% chance of not being able to conceive our own child. Those five years held some very disappointing moments, but they brought Anthony and I closer together.
After much discussion and reflection, we turned to adoption as the way to fulfill our dreams of having a family with children to love and nurture.
In 1997 we adopted our beautiful daughter Amanda. From the moment she was placed in our arms, we knew how much more love, joy and laughter she would give us. She has filled a void in our lives like nothing else could.
In 1998 Anthony and I decided to adopt again. We wanted 2 children in our family and wanted our daughter to be able to share her life with a brother or sister.
We were doubly blessed in 1999 when our son, Anthony Jr., was born. We were so thankful about being chosen by the birth mother. She even allowed us to experience the birth of our son firsthand. The gift she gave us of seeing our son being born is something I will never forget and I will be able to share the experience with my son someday.
Now our lives are complete and I have God and the birth mothers to thank for choosing my husband and I to be the parents of our 2 most precious gifts, our son and daughter.
Warmest Regards,
Anthony and Martha
