David and Angelique's Adoption Story

We would like to extend our thanks to American Adoptions for making our dreams of becoming parents come true. Working with American Adoptions was a great experience. Our adoption advocate/counselor was always there to answer our questions. They were extremely professional and personable. We have referred several people we know who are considering adoption to your agency.

Our journey to becoming parents started in 2002. We tried and consulted with the professionals to no avail. Since Angelique was adopted by her parents as an infant, adoption seemed the next logical step to take. After reviewing information from what seemed like 100 agencies, we chose American Adoptions.

Towards the end of 2002, we put our family profile together and submitted it in the beginning of 2003. It was only a matter of a few short months that we found out that our profile was accepted by a bith family. Ironically, on April 1, 2003, we were informed our son was being born. One week later we were holding our son, J.D.

We can honestly say that the last 16 months have been the greatest experiences of our lives. Even when the day is not going the greatest, just being parents makes us forget about the day we had. To see his smile, hear is laugh, and go through the growing process has been the most wonderful experience ever.

Thank you, American Adoptions. We would not be having this experience if it wasn't for your help. While we have not given up hope of having a biological child, we would not hesitate to adopt again with help of American Adoptions. They are the best!!!
