Yes, an adult can be adopted. My husand just adopted my 20 year old son. Call lawyers until you find one that will do an adult adoption..No parent permission is needed if the child is over 18. Good Luck! God Bless!

I am needing to know if it is possible for an adult to be legally adopted in the usa? do they need the natural parents permission or would it be easier to just legally change that persons name to the given surname?
