Does NYS have regulations against adoptive parents with mental illness? I have a mental illness and have been stable for 6 years. My husband has no such illness and is medically healthy. Can we still be considered as adoptive parents since I have letters of recommendations from my PCP, psychologist, and psychiatric nurse practitioner? And comments would be appreciated. Thank you.
