Samantha, My name is Michelle and I work for American Adoptions. I am also a birth mother who placed my son for adoption 7 years again. I love my son more than anything in this world and that is why I placed him for adoption. I would have given anything to have been able to raise him on my own but I knew it would not have been fair to him. There are times when I look back and wonder what my life and his life would have been like if I would have chose to parent but than I remember and look at the pictures that I see of him and realize all that he has because of adoption and because I made that choice for him. I would not change my decision because his adoptive family has provided him more in life that I could have ever imagined. He is a lucky little boy because he has so many people who love him (some in whom he does not even know) and will forever. Adoption was a wonderful option for me at that time in my life and although I do miss him I know he is happy and that is all I ever wanted for him. You can read more about my story on our website under Personal Adoption Stories. It is called "The Choices We Make". Thank you for your time.
