There is a very good summary of costs related to adoption on this site. Go to home page and then adoption costs. There is a link to 1-800-homestudy adoption costs at the bottom. This is inclusive, and compares all types of adoption. Good Luck!

We are just starting to look into adoption. But we don't know where to start. It is all very expensive. I was wondering if anyone knows more about the costs of adoption. We looked into International Adopting and it ranged from 8,000 - 35-000. But then we looked at adopting straight from a birth mother and the info says only some need assistance. Does this mean it is less then over seas? Has anyone adopted this way? I hear you have the baby withing days of it's birth. But I can not find any info on the actual costs of this kind of adoption.
