Hi, Go check out "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Adoption". In the Chapter titled 'State to State', there is a chart that lists all the states and what the "rules" are for each. In addition to living expenses, it tells when birthmom consent can be signed, how long the revokation period is, if birthfathers can sign consent prior to birth, time to finalize etc. We found it very informative, and knew what to expect from any potential match. Be sure that it is a current edition of the book since laws do change from time to time. I hope this helps. Sunny
