| Dawna | Posted: Sep 24, 2005 02:01:03 PM Hi Denise! I haven't heard of any Australian adoptive parents, but I do know there have been couples from Norway, England and Germany who have adopted through AA. I know there is a couple on the board now who are from Switzerland. I would encourage you to call and talk with the knowledgable people at American Adoption about the possibilities! I don't think birthmoms really are so concerned with where you will live, unless it is a completely open adoption. In most cases they will never know as the communication is made through the agency. They are more concerned with how much you will love the baby. Being from a foreign country is even a plus to some birthmoms!
Our birthmom seemed thrilled that our son would have dual citizenship in America and Sweden, and that he may spend part of his life abroad. There is a birthmom out there for you, if you chose to pursue it and open yourself up to the possibilities! Best of luck!
