One suggestion is that you do a search through the adoption agency if on was involved. I did a search for my birth mom back in march of 2002 and the last week of may 2002 they had contacted her and within the next week i was on the phone with her.

I was born in Pa, I tihnk near Mercer on 5/5/84 female,blonde hair and blueyes. I was name Kathleen Blair and now looking for my mother!
