Kelley, I would simply call and talk to someone at American Adoptions about your concerns. I know they have worked with military families in the past, but I am sure each situation is different. Maybe someone else will know a little more about it, but they (American Adoptions) are so helpful you could get all your questions answered with one phone call. I am also fairly confident that there would be a birth mom out there interested in what you have to offer. We have been active with American Adoptions for eleven months now and are very happy with the agency. You can look at our profile - we are Elson and Wendy. Let me know what you find out! Wendy

My husband and I started trying to conceive 5 years ago--we are unable and even attempted IVF with no success. My husband is in the US Air Force and he has had to deploy to Iraq and with his military training his schedule isn't consistent. This is a part of our life and we know that others may view it as not ideal but we want to be parents. We are able to give so much love to a baby and we have so much to offer that only includes being a military family. Please give me any candid advice/insight on the subject. Amreican Adoptions is the only web site that has addressed working with Military Couples in their Q&A but I need more information.
