I always thought if you are over 18 your parents no longer have any legal rights... but I would call American Adoptions at 1-800-adoption and they can give you better answers or direct you where to go... it also may vary by state.. not sure... good luck to you both... as a mom that adopted my son 4 years ago, just rest assured that if you use a respected agency for adoption you will have a couple that will truly love your child unconditionally...

my dad said that him and my mom can stop me from putting my baby up for adoption. And that they can fight us in court to get custody of him is that true?
