Go to www.adopteesearch.info/states1. This site will tell you by which state the adoptee was born the steps you need to take in finding out this information. Every state is different, so good luck and I hope this helps!

It depends on what state you live in and what rules that state has againest that child knowing that kind of information. Like me i'm looking for my bio parents and wanting to know medical information and so on and right now i'm at a dead end not knowing what to do from this point. I filled out what i could on here for the search thing but i don't know alot of the information about my mom and have no information on my dad so i hope this site helps me out.. Good luck in finding out that information like i said all states have diffferent rules on what information that child can have...

My son's birth father is an adoptee. We have no contact. I have located the birth mother and the birth father. The birth father has ignored the 3 letters that I have sent to him and the two that I have sent to his sister seeking medical background information. What rights does my son have to that type of information?
