I have recently learned the last name of my biological mother which has prompted me to begin my search. The main reason I am taking the next step is to find medical history. There is also a curiosity if there may be a sibling I have somewhere in the world. I have no desire to meet my biological parents but a brother or sister I would. I started by searching the web and found a website that lists each states' regulations on adoptees wanting birth records. I printed the form, filled it out and now all I have to do is write the check ($20) and mail it in. I think I will do it tomorrow. I am very nervous of what information I may find, but at the same time I am feeling excitement. My adoptive mom (Mom as I call her, she is the only one I have) is not so thrilled that I am going to do this, but she understands that medical history is important; especially since I have children of my own. You are the first person I have told (not even my husband knows I've done this much) and it feels good to tell someone. If you would like any further information or would like to stay updated on my situation, let me know.

I have had the desire for most of my life to find my real Dad but only just reciently felt that now was the right time to begin. I am just now beginning the process thus am learning as I go. Should any one have any suggestions on where to look next after this sight please let me know. Also I am praying for other people who are in the same process for their lives. I believe that nothing in life happens by accident.

Hello, I am a graduate student at Emerson College in Boston, MA. I am doing a masters project on adoption and am looking to talk with people who are searching for their birthparents or for brithparents searching for their child. I can assure you that the information will be not be distributed to the public and I will not pry for information unless you are willing to give it. If you are not willing to cooperate but know someone who will be, please pass along this information. Also, I am wondering if anyone had any contacts of professionals who help children cope with adoption identity issues. Thanks in advance, salgados05@hotmail.com
