| Casie | Posted: Nov 26, 2004 11:54:09 AM Hello, my name is Casie and we were just approached this evening from a woman whom is due to have a baby in a month. She is considering us to adopt her unborn son. We did our training classes through an agency last year, however, we couldn't proceed to the home study because we havent been married for a year. We've been together for 7, however, our one year will be in April. I'm trying to find out what our next step is. Do we go to the agency and proceed? Does the child get to remain in our care while we finish the process If we by pass the agency, do we still do the home study and become certified She is making a decision next week so we're in urgent need of answers and I've called around to the agencies as well as the one we went through, but everyone is closed due to the holiday. Thank you, Casie President and Founder of www.givekidsachance.net Personalized letters from Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny! Ask me how you can get one of these. All proceeds go to www.givekidsachance.net | ||
| Gwen | Posted: Aug 13, 2004 03:15:40 PM You need to get a lawyer, because it's a legal process. You may also, if you have the money, hire an adoption agencey to help you because it's hard on you guys and the birth mother. The adoption agencey will give the mother a counciler to help her out, and she'll do all the legal stuff for you all. | ||
