Also find out if your husband's employer provides any sort of adoption benefit. My husband's employer wii reimburse up to $3,000 in legal fees associated with the adoption. There is also the $10,000 adoption tax credit you may be able to claim on your federal tax return. IRS publication 968 explains the credit. Good luck! | ||
| Robin Wormsley | Posted: Aug 06, 2004 09:54:50 AM My husband and I were aproched by a friend of the family whom is preg. and wants us to be the adoptive parents and since my husband and I could not have one of ours. we said yes I am 46 he is 49 . I have fibromyalgis and do not work and he works for the state we can afford the baby after it is born but we are finding some difficulty with the expences of the adoption its self . we are determind to adopt the baby so I just thought I would ask if any one knows where we might get some help with the expence. thanks Robin | ||
