Beth	Posted: Jul 06, 2005 06:57:49 PM Yes Adoption is the most loving, giving, selfless thing you can do..... I was raped at 14 and had an abortion, I have regretted it since the day it happened. It left me unable to ever have children. Today I am about to be 40 I will never have a child. I just had cervical cancer and a hysterectomy in April... Now cancer free and so desperately want to love and raise a child. If open adoption were around when I was 14 I would have done that without even thinking about it... My husband and I are looking for an adoption agency to join to start the adoption process... So hopefully with God's help we will fulfill our lifelong dream and someday soon parent a child... So yes ADOPTION is the most incredible GIFT you could EVER GIVE ANYONE... Not only the adoptive couple but also .... your unborn child... !!!
Virginia	Posted: Aug 27, 2004 01:39:42 PM Hi Christina, Adoption is a good choice because you are giving your baby the gift of life. It is the most difficult situation any of us can possible imagine. If you are unable to parent the child you created, then adotion is a wonderful choice. I know this is a difficult time in your life, but I think that it can be a positive one as well because your child will be welcomed with open arms into a loving family who will be committed to providing your child a safe and loving future.

The Costs of Adopting

Many couples are often overwhelmed by the cost when they begin looking into adoption. There are many factors that contribute to the cost of an adoption, including the cost of the necessary legal work, advertising fees, travel expenses, etc.

Both domestic and international adoption have their own unique costs. For example, couples adopting domestically will not have to worry about the cost of a visa, which couples adopting internationally much budget for. Likewise, couples adopting domestically may be asked to provide living expenses for the expectant mother, such as help with rent or utility payments, an expense that is not typically seen in international adoptions.
