We have adopted one child and are in the process of adopting a second. Have you ever considered adopting a "waiting child" ? In my state, any child over the age of 3 or that has some kind of disability be it mental or physical are considered waiting children. They need love just lijke any other child, and the rewards are even greater :)

Hi Sherry, We are just at the sixteen month point right now. I must admit I never thought it would be this long. I agree with you, it does get discouraging. I would love to talk to you sometime.

Yes. We did not hurry to have children earlier in our marriage because we wanted to develop our careers and figured we could just do it later. Well, we've been trying 6 yrs. Still our nursery is empty. After facing our fertility issues, we're considering adoption.

Is there any one out there who has waited over 16 months for a baby? I am getting discouraged as time passes by. Thank You.
