I am a wife of an active duty soldier.I know that there are child care providers on military bases that are considered long term providers.your nco or local jag office can help you get the temp guardianship papers filled out.Army community service on each base can tell you what providers are on each base.I am doing that for a friend of mine in Jan.for her 2 kids.Hope this will help.

Hello, I would recommend finding out if a family member is willing to take your child? If not then a foster home a private one can be arranged and I would thing give them temporary guardianship in your absence might work, depends on the state you reside in? I am in Nebraska so only know that law for my state. I am an adoptive mom to 4, and use to be a foster mom that is how two of my chilcren joined our family. If you do this make sure that whomever is to care for the child Knows that it is Short term Not forever that your looking for. Best wishes and Stay safe, God bless Terrie
