Hi, My name is joann I gave up twins on July 26,2004. American adoptions helped me. My pregnency was planned but when he found out I was pregnet with twins he decided to leave me, whem I was 5 months pregnet and I never seen him again. You do not need the father to sign all you have to do is let the adoption agency know what is going on and they inturn prove that the father knows about the pregnency and they make diligent attempts to send the father information that you are putting the baby up for adoption, you will need to give them any adress you can and if he does not respond, his right are signed off by the court and he no longer has any say so. Just make shure that is the right choice for you because you have already bonded with that child and it might be the best choice but just be prepared because it is going to be the hardest thing you will ever go through in life. Best of luck to you, If you want to talk e-mail joannpickering@hotmail.com

I was just wondering how you and your baby are doing now? Have you had a chance to talk to the father now? What state are you in? Have you gone to any agency to see what your rights are as the mother, or his rights as the father? American Adoptions has many people you can talk too. They have 1-800 # for you to call. I would be more than willing to look it up and to find out more for you. You can e-mail me at nata71@msn.com

If you are wanting to consider adoption and you feel that it is the best option for your child and the situation that you are presently in than I think it is worth looking into and getting more information about. Adoption is about what is in the best interest of the child. If you feel as if you are not able at this time to parent your child than adoption may be a good option for you. I am a birth mother also and I know that it is a difficult decision to make but it is also a very loving decision. Call American Adoptions at 1-800-Adoption is you are wanting to know more information about adoption and you can begin working with someone as soon as you are ready. You can also choose the adoptive family and receive letters and pictures of your child. I hope this helps.
