We are so honored to share a part of our lives with you. We greatly admire your courage and strength during this time. We believe adoption is an amazing gift. We want to ensure you that your child will always know about the sacrifices you made, and they will know that your decision was based on love and a desire for the best possible future for your child. If you choose adoption, your very brave choice will result in a child that will bravely face the future. We would be honored to be there, by their side, as they grow and discover all that the world has to offer.

How We Will Address Cultural Diversity
Our Silly Family

We are warm, open and respectful of all ethnic and cultural differences. Bennie is Hispanic and Michelle is Caucasian, so we are already a mixed race family. We see our differences as something to celebrate! We are confident that we can raise a child of a different ethnic background and are excited to do so. We speak Spanish and English and will make every effort to incorporate this child's culture into our family traditions. We have surrounded ourselves with a diverse group of friends so that our children will be provided with plenty of role models and resources. We will be prepared to answer all questions about ethnic heritage and traditions. We will ensure that their culture is always respected in our home. We feel very assured that our family and friends will welcome any child into our family.

High School Reunion
What we do in our Leisure Time
Robert, Eric and Dad at the County Fair

When we have free time, we try and stay active with our boys. We visit local museums, parks, the beach and the mountains. We also arrange for get-togethers with extended family and play games, take walks and cook together. Often it is our children that spark new interests for us and we follow the boys' lead when planning out our weekends. When Robert became interested in dinosaurs, we planned an outing to the Natural History museum. When Eric started to laugh each time he saw an animal, we quickly gathered some friends and headed over to the zoo. Bennie has been a life-long Lakers fan and hopes to share his love for the team and for basketball with our children. Michelle's passions are for scrapbooking family pictures and reading books about all kinds of topics. Our happiest days are when we have a whole day to spend together and can experience something new!

Our Children
Eric's Second Birthday

We have been blessed with two wonderful sons who fill our days with laughter and love. Our first born, Robert, is six. He loves learning about new things in school. He is especially passionate about math, art and baseball. His personality is very calm and he is a great helper. Robert likes to make his little brother laugh by making funny faces and enjoys teaching him new things. He is an excellent big brother and looks forward to having more siblings to play with.

Eric is our younger son and was born in March 2009. He is a happy toddler who is very energetic and active. He loves playing outside on the slide, riding his little bike and singing silly songs. Eric tries to copy anything Robert does. It's so special to see them forming a loving bond of brotherhood every day.
