Our favorite vacation spot is a beach with beautiful blue water. We enjoy vacationing at the end of each summer when there are fewer crowds. We spend many hours in the water riding the body board and getting wiped out by the waves. We love to just relax and enjoy the warm sun. We are looking forward to going to the beach with your baby and introducing him/her to play in the sand making sand castles or teaching him/her to enjoy the warm waters and the waves. We can't wait to make new fun memories with the baby. When we are not on the beach we like to play board games, miniature golf, ride bikes, watch movies, visit local gardens and historical sites, and take pictures of plants and local sites. We also love to try out the local foods, especially seafood by visiting local supermarkets and restaurants.
We have been fortunate to have both Korean and American cultures in our family where we celebrate both Asian and American traditions, cultures, holidays and foods. On the surface, the Korean and American cultures seem quite opposite but we don't really notice the differences when we share love of family and our Christian values. We embrace and celebrate our differences as much as we celebrate the American culture and traditions. We both have many friends and family members who are from diverse backgrounds and ethnicities. Working and living near the nation's Capital also exposes us to diverse people from all over the world. We plan to raise your child with both Asian and American traditions and languages. We feel very comfortable about talking with your child concerning any cultural issues or questions he/she may have. We believe that it is very important to provide your child with continuous reinforcement about his/her own cultural identify.
Bob loves to read, watch TV, listen to music and sing, and learn about how things work. Unchong loves to cook, listen to classical music and take photographs of flowers and family. Unchong enjoys solving the most difficult of Sudoku puzzles and enjoys watching old movies. Both of us enjoy taking nature walks, trying out new foods and places, and playing board games. We enjoying playing borad games with our neice and nephews when they visit. We love to go out with our friends and family to resturants and take day trips within the Washington, DC metropolitian area. Once a year we like to take a trip to a beach where we can just enjoy the sun and beautiful warm waters.
