Having 2 children is our dream and we are hoping that you will make our dream come true. Our son Jack was a gift from God and his birthmother was the angel that delivered him to us. We are hoping that you too will be God's special emissary. Thank you so much for considering us as future parents of your child.

Jack’s Birthmother

When we got a call from our local adoption agency, it was the fall of 2004. There was a birthmother who chose us and she was due January 2005. Needless to say, WE WERE EXCITED!!! In fact we met with her and she loved us right away. Carrie, the birthmother, included Misty in the doctor visits, which she enjoyed tremendously. Hearing our son’s heartbeat, feeling him kick, and just being near him were so special. We went out to eat several times and just became good friends.

What Carrie gave us was something that we could never replace. She will be forever in our hearts and minds. Keeping in touch with her is both of our choices. We send her pictures of all of us and she too sends pictures of her family. In fact, we have started a little scrap book of the things that she sends us. (for Jack) Carrie’s mother even sent us a picture of herself and a poem for Jack. We intend on letting him know that his mother loved him so much that she wanted him to have a life that she couldn’t provide him with.

Jack is our whole world and want him to know that we love him as if we gave birth to him. We hope that the experience with our next birth family be just as rewarding.

Our Travels

Barry and I love to travel. Our favorite place to travel was Maui, Hawaii. It was so beautiful and just smelled so tropical. Our days were spent lying in the sun, swimming, wave runner riding, and four-wheeling around the island. We even got to go to a luau.

Another favorite place that we like to go is Moran, Wyoming during the winter months to go snowmobiling. We like to rent a cabin for a week and play in the snow. The snow is so peaceful, not too mention, EXTREMELY DEEP!

We also like to go to Grand Lake, Colorado to snowmobile as well. In fact we have been there several times and even brought my sister, Chelsey, and my aunt, Lynda. They had never been snowmobiling before and it was fun to teach them.

Since we have a child we have learned of another way of traveling that is even more fun. We love to go camping. Last year we went to Dallas & Galveston, Texas and went on to Lafayette, Louisianna. We stayed at a KOA campground in Lafayette that was geared toward families with a playgound, a couple of swimming pools, and a fishing pond with paddle boating.

Our future camping itenerary will include going dune buggying at the Little Sahara State Park in Oklahoma and touring the Redwood Forest in California. Someday when our children get older we would like to go to Florida to some of the theme parks.

Memories

Our Family Celebrating Halloween

Just the other day our son, Jack, discovered cowboy boots. It was the most comical sight to see. We laugh just thinking about it. He walked very stiff-like and bow-legged, and for a twenty-month old child, need we say more. Jack loves his cowboy boots, well, actually they were Barry's when he was his age.

Since Barry's mother is kind of a pack-rat, Jack will enjoy going through his father's childhood things. The cowboy boots were just the beginning.

As a matter of fact, just a couple of years ago, Barry's mother, Georgia, had cleaned out some of his childhood things. She wanted us to come over and get them. We weren't expecting the amount of stuff that she had. It filled a full-sized pick-up truck and the cab was full too. There were all kinds of toys, including a Howdy-Doody doll, home-made Halloween costumes, sippy-cups, vinyl records, pieces of board games, ect.

Georgia has been a great mother and saving all of these memories for Barry and the children will be a wonderful experience. Who knows what we will find next.
