Celebrating Our Anniversary

Sean: Susanne is the warmest, kindest person I've ever met and I'm a better man because of her love. Her generosity toward others inspires me daily. Whether she is supporting a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, packing up used books for a local library, or gathering clothes for Goodwill, she is constantly looking for ways to make people's lives a bit easier. Her work in the Learning & Development field suits her perfectly, as she is very passionate about life-long learning. I can picture her reading to our child constantly, doing all sorts of fun art projects, and hosting dozens of play dates! She will make the most loving and attentive mom and I can't wait to raise a family with her.

Susanne: What can I say about a man who has literally made all my dreams come true?! Sean is the kind of guy every mother hopes their daughter will marry. He is strong, patient, has a great sense of humor, a big smile and an even bigger zest for life. He is caring, compassionate, and not afraid to show his sensitivity and humility. He once told me the reason he became a lawyer was to be able to defend and advocate for people who didn't have a voice of their own, and I instantly knew this was someone I would love and respect for the rest of my life. He will make the most amazing dad, and looks forward to taking his son to Giants Stadium, or his daughter to the Ballet. I'm so proud to be his wife and to share this life with him!

Birthday Cakes Made with Love!

In our leisure time we enjoy socializing with family and friends, and getting outdoors to explore the world around us. We LOVE to cook, and have been experimenting with all sorts of recipes from our favorite "Food Network" TV stars. Sean is considered the family "Grill Master"; he is amazing! One of Susanne's specialties is her great-grandmother's Italian Wedding Soup. More recently, she's started taking cake decorating lessons so that she can make all of our children's birthday cakes. (Sean, in the meantime, is having fun being the taste-tester for all of these creations!!) We enjoy hosting our family for big holiday dinners and seeing their happy faces around the table. Susanne loves to set a gorgeous table complete with hand-made place cards and little take home gifts. We look forward to future celebrations with our little one front and center at our table.

Married!

We met on a crisp fall day in New York City in September of 2003 on a blind date, set up by our brother and sister-in-law. We used to think love at first sight was a myth until it happened to us! To this day we can close our eyes and vividly remember everything about our first meeting. In an instant we each knew we had met our one true companion. When we met, we lived in separate states, and thus began a whirlwind year of commuting eight hours round trip every weekend to see one another and many long talks on the phone. As much as we missed each other during the week, we learned a great deal. We learned to treasure every minute we spent together and appreciate what we had between us. We learned to communicate. We learned that we were strong enough to get through challenging times. We even learned the value of small gestures like Hallmark cards and flowers (not a shabby deal, by the way!). These would be lessons we'd rely upon throughout our life together. We were married on a beautiful, sunny Long Island day in June, 2006. We had such a ball at our wedding, dancing until our feet hurt and singing until our voices cracked. It was truly a celebration and we were thrilled to begin our new life together. Today, we are each other's best friend and confidante, "partner-in-crime" and biggest fan. We are extremely committed to our marriage, and believe in the power of love. Love is what led us to one another many years ago, and we believe in our heart of hearts that love will lead us to this little angel as well.
