At a Friend's Wedding

We believe that fate brought us together after a long time of searching for a soulmate. We met and got married a bit later than most folks, so we faced infertility struggles when we tried to start a family. When the fertility treatments and procedures didn't work we were really disheartened because we felt that we were meant to be parents and raise a child in our loving, cozy family. Our families and friends kept saying what great parents we would be and what a wonderful life we could give a child. Our dream to become parents means the world to us, and we know that by adopting a child fate will bring us a precious blessing whom we will surround with our unconditional love and that of our families and friends.

We understand that it is very important to talk to our child about adoption from the beginning. We want him or her to feel special about being brought into the world by a loving birth mom, and brought up in the world by loving adoptive parents. We will tell our child that their birth mom made a very difficult decision, but one that came from a loving mother's heart, choosing a family to love and care for her little one. We will teach our child to keep a special place in their heart for you and to know that they have a special place in your heart as well.

Lisa About Brian: There's so much about Brian to love! Most importantly, he is a good man with a good heart. Brian is the kind of man who is there when people need him; he's such a giving person and cares so much about his family and friends. He has always been there for me; his sweet smile brings comfort to my soul. Brian is a very hard-working accountant, and he loves being active outdoors. He will be a great dad who will always be able to provide for his family as well as always taking time to do fun activities outdoors with a child. He can't wait to teach a little one how to ride a bike!

Brian About Lisa: Lisa is a kind, compassionate, and intelligent woman who puts others' needs before her own. I admire how many friends she has and how she is there to lend a hand with an errand or to provide emotional support. She has great strength and perseverance and has been able to overcome many obstacles in her life. She maintains an upbeat attitude, no matter what life throws her way. These special qualities of Lisa's will make her a wonderful mother and will help to create a warm and safe environment for a child.

To us, being a parent to a child would be a tremendous joy and privilege as well as a very important responsibility. We have wonderful role models in our own parents and in our late grandparents, as well as in our many friends who have children. The child we adopt will be so precious to us, and we plan to be there as parents to give him or her our unconditional love, our affection, support and encouragement. We will keep your child safe and protected. We will provide him or her with an excellent education (and will help with homework!) so our child will learn well and be able to be successful. We will enable him or her to learn and grow in a fun environment, where he or she can enjoy life and laugh a lot. As parents we will give our child the life lessons and knowledge they need to be their own person, but we will always be there for our child when he or she needs us.

We expect the most joyous times as parents will be celebrating a child's special occasions and achievements. Seeing our child being happy and enjoying life, and also reaching new milestones as well as their personal goals will be the best part. We look forward to seeing life through a child's eyes and showing him or her all kinds of things about the world around us!
