![]() We are honored to have the opportunity to be considered as adoptive parents for your child. Although we cannot claim to understand what you are feeling during this time, we realize that the decision you are making is a difficult and courageous one. We want to reassure you that if you choose us as adoptive parents, we will raise your child in a home full of love and laughter. |

Our lifestyle is pretty laid-back. We approach life with a sense of humor and like to relax and have fun. When we are at home, we go for walks in our neighborhood or park, rent movies, read, watch TV, or play games. In the summer, we order tickets for several St. Louis Cardinals games. One of our most memorable moments was getting to be at Busch Stadium to watch the Cardinals win the World Series in 2006. Once a year Scott's whole extended family gets together to go to a Cardinal game and spends the weekend together. We can't wait to take a child to baseball games, play at the park, and have family game nights!
We both enjoy cooking meals. Amy likes to experiment with new recipes, and Scott likes to grill out in the summer or makes his delicious chili in the winter. In his free time, Scott enjoys golfing. Amy's hobbies include reading and participating in a book club. She also frequently meets with her friends for breakfast or dinner.
On Sundays we attend church together. We were raised Catholic and our faith keeps us grounded and reminds us what is important in our lives. We feel truly blessed to have found one another, and we feel blessed that you are considering us as adoptive parents.
Our favorite childhood memories involve spending time with our families. Scott grew up with three brothers and lots of cousins, and they often spent time together on their grandparents' farm. The entire family went there for Sunday dinners. Scott enjoyed spending the night on the farm with his cousins and going out for donuts the next day with his grandparents.
Amy shared a room with her sister when she was a little girl, and every night before bed her mom would read them a chapter from a Nancy Drew mystery book. The girls would always beg their mom to read just one more chapter! Not only did Amy enjoy the time spent with her mom and sister, but she also developed a love of books. Amy is excited to start a book collection for a child and will read to your child every day. There will always be a bedtime story!
We have always wanted to be parents and we discussed adoption prior to getting married. Family is important to us, and we are thrilled to be starting a family of our own. We believe that being parents means providing unconditional love and support for a child. Parenting involves giving lots of time, love, and effort. We want to reassure you that we will be hand-on parents; we will laugh with your child, challenge your child to learn, teach your child to explore, and show them kindness and what it means to be kind to others. It is difficult to determine what our favorite part of parenting will be, because we know there are going to be so many aspects of being a parent that we will treasure!
