Christina on Dave: Dave is my best friend. He is warm, gentle, compassionate and laughter surrounds him. His youthful spirit helps me see the importance of not taking life too seriously. He shows me life is full of surprises and if I don't stop and see what life has to offer it will pass me by. His spontaneity has allowed me to see and do so many things. I love his ability to make me laugh along with everyone else. He is extremely outgoing and has never met a stranger. I also love that Dave is a very giving person (he gave one of his co-workers his winter coat because he could not afford one). Dave is going to make an awesome father because he not only will love the child unconditionally, but will also be a hands-on father who's involved in every aspect of the child's life.
Dave on Christina: Christina has an infectious enthusiasm for life and is a very down-to-earth person. She is truly my best friend and has the ability to soothe, comfort and support. She has a way of making things feel like they will work out and be okay. Because of her I strive to be a better person everyday. I love the way she smiles at me from across a room. It makes feel very lucky to call her my wife. She also laughs at my jokes even if she has heard them a thousand times. It's wonderful to know by looking at my wife, she loves me with all her heart and soul. I am blessed she is in my life and we would love to share our blessing with someone else.
Our favorite trip together begins packing the car and beginning our 11-hour drive to Destin, Florida. Dave loves his snacks, so we pack several in the car. We drive through the night and into the early morning hours and decide to stop somewhere in Alabama. After grabbing an early morning breakfast, we continue to drive the remaining 4 hours left to Destin. Once we arrive to our condo, the excitement and joy is hard to contain. We are finally here! After we check-in, the first thing we do is go down to the beach and walk in the softest and whitest sand one could ever imagine. The scene in front of us is paradise. Our days included waking up to dolphins playing in the ocean, relaxing on the beach, playing beach Frisbee, canoeing in the ocean and jet skiing.
We can see ourselves packing up the family and driving to Destin every year. Playing in the sand, building sand castles, swimming in the ocean, and teaching our child about the different sea animals they will encounter while on the beach. We can't wait to create lifelong memories of family vacations to Disney World, the beach, the zoo, the aquarium and many other destinations with our child.
Dave: I have been hunting with my family ever since I was a young boy. In fact the first times I went hunting I didn't even have a gun. I was only armed with a pair of my dad's binoculars. He wanted to teach me the proper way to respect the responsibility and traditions of hunting. Armed with this foundation we have had many successful hunting trips. As I have grown from a boy into a man the bonds I have forged with my Dad and friend's is something I truly cherish and hope to pass on to the next generation.
Christina: As long as I can remember, my sister's and myself would wake up Thanksgiving morning, to my mother baking the turkey and the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade would be on TV. Till this very day, my sisters and their children and I wake up Thanksgiving Day morning and watch the Parade. When we make the trip to Chicago for Thanksgiving, I can always count on waking up to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade being on television.
