 We are very excited about adopting a child and thank you for considering us. It is a joy and a privilege to watch our son grow each day and we look forward to having the opportunity to welcome another child in to our home. As parents we understand what a difficult decision you are facing and we want you to know that creating a supportive and loving environment for our children is our most important priority. |

We like to spend our leisure time as a family. We often go for a walk or bike ride at a park and enjoy spending time with our friends and their families at birthday parties and play dates. Reading is an activity that is enjoyed by all of us so we regularly visit the library to pick up new books!!
Our weekends also include attending church events. Louise regularly participates as a prayer leader. We recently attended a church family camp at a YMCA property, where we participated in mini-golf, archery, a hayride and an outdoor service with other families.
We enjoy travelling and typically take an annual vacation and other short breaks throughout the year. We have visited various places within the United States such as Chicago, Kansas City, Tennessee, Kentucky, South Carolina, California, Louisiana, Washington D.C. and Wisconsin in the United States as well as regularly traveling to England to visit our families.
Being parents for us means making our child's welfare our number one priority. It has involved many joys, sacrifices, sleepless nights and thrills, which we would not trade for anything. Above all it means standing in the rain to watch his soccer games; playing games where you don't know the rules; watching the same episode of his favorite show over and over again; hearing about his day at school; watching him take his first ride on a big boy bike; kissing his boo boos (no matter where they are); and hugging him goodnight at the end of the day. It is the many little things that make up each day and not knowing what each day will hold.
We will be open with both of our children about the adoption and will share information with them that is appropriate to their age as time goes by. It is important to us that they both realize how blessed we are that this child's birth parents chose our family for their child as it is a precious gift. We also hope to be able to share with our child pictures and information about their birth parents and family so that they know how much you love them. We have already purchased a memory book that will allow us to document their journey and share it with them as they grow.
