East met West in our case. We met 10 years ago while visiting the same institution for our work. Both of us thought we'd visit the USA for a while and go back to our home countries soon. However, one day our Greek friend introduced us to each other, and our lives were changed. At that time, both of us were preparing for medical license examinations. Our friend thought we could help each other prepare for the examinations. After our meeting, we realized that Elena had been passing through Paco's office every day for 2 years, but never met each other. People were concerned about our different cultural backgrounds for the marriage. However, we did not expect we would find a perfect partner away from our home countries. Now it's been 8 years since our marriage, the first marriage for both of us. So, we are ready to raise a child with our love and warm hearts.
Our Dooly, a Yellow Labrador Retriever, came to our home when she was 8 weeks old. Now she is a very handsome and beautiful 3-year-old girl, who makes our morning bright, happy and healthy every day. We love to walk and play with her in our garden and on the university campus. Due to her, we know many neighbors who have dogs. She is contributing to our social activity and network. Dooly goes to dog daycare once a week and she is a Gym favorite among her doggy pals. She loves children and other dogs. She will be the best friend of our new family member.
Elena About Paco: I was a professionally successful career woman in my home country. However, I always felt in my heart that no one understood who I am. When I met my husband, everyday I was so happy since my husband understood, admired and encouraged who I am. He accepted all of my good or less favorable habits.
Paco About Elena: I had been always dreaming of a wife in my life. I never expected I would meet that dream woman in the USA. When I saw Elena for the first time, I felt a kind of instinct to know this woman. After marriage, I always give thanks to God that I can wake up with this woman every morning. She has been tirelessly supportive, very patient and very energetic for me. I always admire and respect her strong mind to build a family and to pursue her professional life together with me. She is the only person who knows me the best in the world.
About Us: We were born, raised and educated in two completely different cultures. We came from the opposite ends of the globe and spoke completely different languages. However, since being together, we both agree that there are many common things in our values. Also this diversity helps us to open our minds toward people from different cultures and languages in the USA. We wish to share this priceless diversity with a child and help him/her to see and experience how this world is endlessly splendid during his/her life.
