![]() Our home and lives are filled with love, laughter and learning. We would be blessed to share this with another child. We adopted a son in 2010 and have great respect for his birth mother and the difficult decision that she made. We feel we have much to share with another child; our love, our time, our interest and joy in the world around us, as well as being able to provide for a child financially. |

We both have always wanted a family with at least two children. When we found out we couldn't have a child, we had no hesitation in deciding to build our family through adoption. Both of us had relatives or close friends who were adopted so adoption was already a natural part of our families. We will never forget the day that we were chosen to adopt our son Bradyn. It is such a wonderful blessing to have him in our lives to care for and love and to be parents at last! It is wonderful to actually be able to experience the joy of being a parent, but we would like to complete our dream of having two children to love. We picture a family of four sitting at a dining room table playing board games on a rainy day or out on an adventure together, hiking to a waterfall in the woods, building a snowman, visiting with our extended family, or going to the beach. We can't wait until the adventures with our family of four begin.
Our favorite memories from childhood come from the traditions we grew up with and we continue these in out family, such as birthdays with special cakes, friends, family, and of course a few presents. We will also make it a tradition at birthday time to write letters and send pictures to you if you choose. Christmas is usually held at our house and is one of our favorite holidays. We help with the children's Christmas play at church, and make a point to donate gifts to the angel tree. At Easter, our family has an Easter tree that we decorate with ornaments. Terrie rolls out sugar cookie dough, and the whole family gathers to cut out and decorate these tasty treats. Thanksgiving calls for a meal prepared together and perhaps a game of touch football. For the Fourth of July, we go to see the local fireworks display and often have a picnic at the local park.
Vacationing with friends and relatives is also a summer treat. We usually take at least one zoo trip each year during the summer with family or friends. The zoo near our home has an aviary to walk into and birds can land right on your finger. Holidays and getting together with family and friends play a big role in our lives and are some of the times that we look forward to sharing with a child.
Terrie is a loving, caring person who goes out of her way to help others. She is a University Professor who goes the extra mile to get to know her students. When she writes them a letter of recommendation, she writes from her personal experiences. Terrie loves children and she is great with them. She loves to play games, put on puppet shows, read, and really communicates with children of all ages. She makes learning a game, and caring a way of life.
Steve is strong, patient, and very caring. He is amazing around kids. He enjoys playing games with nieces and nephews. He loves showing off his juggling talents and teaching them how to juggle. He has the gift of being able to know what makes children happy, while at the same time helping them to learn and grow. He frequently does projects to improve our home, like adding a new closet to the laundry room. He enjoys music, painting, reading, and hiking, and his favorite sport is disc golf. I know Steve loves and cares for our family as much as he does for me. We are truly looking forward to being a family and sharing all of our many talents with your child.
