 We are Michael and Lisa and we are very excited about getting ready to adopt a child. Thank you for considering us while you view many profiles to find the right match for your child. We wanted to first say Thank You for offering the best possible life for your child with this choice that you are considering. We have many dreams we want to share with a child and hope that through adoption, we will be able to have these dreams come true. We have a lot of love to give your child and this child will have a lot of love and support from both of our families and many friends. If it were not for great birthparents like you, we would not even have this opportunity.  |

We enjoy many activities including traveling, kayaking in the summer months, outdoor activities including sports in the backyard, and going out to nice dinners with family and friends. Michael enjoys cooking very much and has a hosted a few "Cooking Classes" with friends. Lisa enjoys walking and finds it very peaceful to have that alone time and it's a good time to think about her day. Lisa also enjoys being with friends and makes the effort to get together for lunch with girlfriends . We enjoy our traditional trips to Martha's Vineyard , where we honeymooned first! We also enjoy going to Cape Cod and Aruba. We own a timeshare in Aruba and go when it is cold in our area. Our child will also get to enjoy these vacations with us as this is something we will always plan to do. We have also traveled to Italy and Greece, via a Mediterranean Cruise. We enjoyed this trip and hope to see more of Italy someday when our child is older. Michael also enjoys golfing, gardening and making our backyard more beautiful. Together, we also enjoy working out at the gym. We meet with a trainer who challenges and pushes us both so that we get the best workout possible. We have traveled to Disney World in Florida together with Lisa's sister and her family. We are excited to take our child to Disney World someday and also visit Lisa's Mom while we are down there.
One of the most amazing ingredients to our marriage is that we both share and value the same priorities. We both come from families where love, caring, togetherness spirituality, respect and pride were emphasized during our childhood and into our adult life. These qualities and virtues are what we base our lives on and we both make sure we always put them first. Our lives revolve around our families where we look upon one another for strength, guidance, spiritual, emotional and physical well being. The welfare and stability of our family is our priority always. We would want nothing more than to be given the opportunity to share these virtues with a child.
Adoption has been around Lisa for many years. After college, Lisa's roommate, Jodi, got married and the chose the path of adoption. Lisa recalls Jodi and Eric going overseas to pick up their new baby in the Phillippines. She had kept us informed of the progress along the way and we could not wait to meet this new baby boy. A year later, Jodi was now on her way to Korea to pick up her second child, a baby boy. Their lives seemed complete and fulfilled from this day on. The
Very recently we heard, a high school friend, has also chose the path of adoption. She also traveled overseas to pick up her first boy from China, and then her second boy ... What we learned from all this is that adoption surrounds us. When we started to plan a family and were faced with our own set of challenges, we realized that adoption is certainly an option. As soon as we made that decision, it seemed that so many more people we knew had adopted. We may have not realized this before, but as we started to open up and talk about our experiences with friends, they were so great about sharing their stories also. We learned of two more friends later on, that had also adopted! It just now seemed very comfortable and solidified our decision. Now we felt more ready than ever to start the adoption process and we are so thrilled that we did.
