Hi, we are Clint and Leslie. We are a happy, fun-loving couple with a solid foundation of faith and family. We have so much love for each other and look forward to becoming parents and sharing our love with a baby. Thank you for considering adoption and for taking time to learn more about us. May God bless you and guide you. Thank you.

What Makes Us Unique
Taekwondo Black Belts

We are a warm and caring couple who love being together and making each other laugh.

Leslie is a teacher and looks forward to spending her summers as a stay-at-home mom. From visiting the library, to walks in the park, to doing art projects at home, to visiting the local pool, or beach—Leslie looks forward to doing all those things with a little one of her own.

We both have many experiences working with kids and have both taught Vacation Bible School. Leslie has worked with kids ranging from infants to age 12 in a day-care setting. She has also taught Pre-School, Kindergarten, and is currently teaching 1st grade in the public school.

Engineer in the Classroom

Clint is a super uncle and is the favorite among our nieces and nephew, as well as Leslie's younger cousins. Clint also volunteers in a program called Engineer in the Classroom. As part of the program, he teaches engineering concepts and guides a classroom of 5th grade students to complete engineering projects.

We are both black belts in Taekwondo (a martial arts program that teaches kids life skills including self-confidence, loyalty, respect, self-control, and much more), and assist with teaching classes from time to time. Several adults take classes with their child(ren), and this is something we look forward to doing as a family someday.

Our Life Priorities

Faith, Family and Friends take priority in our life.

Our faith is very important to us. We attend church every Sunday (we're just a few blocks away from our church), read the Bible, and pray each day. God is good and our faith in Him helps us each day.

Our families are also very important to us. Our families taught us so much about love and about life. They taught us to believe in and to encourage one another. We love getting together with our families for cook-outs, get-togethers, and family mealtimes. Our families provided us with support and encouragement when we were young, and continue to provide support as we are now adults.

Our friends are also very important to us. Even though many of our friends live far away, we still keep in close contact with them through phone calls and e-mails. At least once a year, we are able to get together with our friends (often around Christmas) and it is always such a great time to get together and catch up.

Discussing Adoption

Adoption will always be an on-going discussion in our home. This child will always know that they belong to a very special circle of love. That circle includes us, the child, birth parents, aunts and uncles, grandparents, cousins, and family friends.

From the very beginning, we will use terms like "adopted," "birth mother," and "birth parents." As we sing lullabies to the baby or read him/her stories, we will say, "I'm so happy your birth mother chose us to love you." As he/she gets older, we will continue to discuss adoption using age-appropriate terms.

There are many great children's picture books that help explain adoption and will be wonderful read-a-louds. Stories will help open-up discussion on the topic of adoption and will give the child something to relate to.

Leslie loves taking photos and making picture books, and plans on making a book to explain the adoption journey and how the child became a part of our family.
