We have a very trusting and fun relationship with open communication about all life decisions. We both feel that we found our 'perfect fit' and that we were meant to spend our lives together.
Kourtney loves many of Joe's qualities. He has a great sense of humor and is witty. He's intelligent and logical. He is generous and respectful. Kourtney also values his willingness to share his thoughts, feelings and letting her know she is loved.
Kourtney admires his compassion towards others. In March of 2011 Joe raised over $21,000 for the St. Baldrick's Foundation, which funds research specific to childhood cancer. Joe grew his hair and beard for 77 days (and looked like a cave man) while raising money for his eventual shave and completely bald hair cut. He has a very kind heart.
Joe loves many things about Kourtney. She is outgoing, not afraid to engage a perfect stranger in conversation and ambitious as well. Kourtney is willing to take on any task, regardless of size. For example, in addition to her college education, she has also received her teaching certification (Grades 6-8) and most recently her Project Management (PMP) designation. Joe is grateful for Kourtney's sense of humor, her zest for life and the fact that she chose him to spend the rest of her life and raise a family with.
The Christmas holiday is a favorite in our house. Christmas Eve we attend church and after we gather at our favorite restaurant with our friends and their families for dinner.
On Christmas day we head to the beach; every year thousands of people arrive and spend a few hours enjoying the sun and surf, having a beach picnic, catching up with friends and celebrating with family. We have been enjoying this for the last 6 years with Joe's family joining in the last 4 years.
After the beach we head home and cook a turkey on the BBQ for our Christmas dinner, followed by exchanging of gifts.
We each have several individual strengths that we believe will make us good parents. We find that our strengths compliment each other.
Kourtney is warm and nurturing, she's always there to lend a hand or offer a shoulder to cry on. She is also a good communicator. Whether it is work or her personal life, she feels that most misunderstandings can be resolved with direct and positive communication. Communication is a key to keeping our marriage strong and healthy.
Joe is always impressed with Kourtney's ability to organize and coordinate. She is able to pull together an idea, project or event in a short amount of time without skipping over a detail. Any child that comes into our home will have the best birthday parties ever!
Joe is a very honest, trusting and loyal person. He is well liked by everyone he meets, he makes friends very easily and he goes out of his way to be welcoming to all. He is very loyal and will be there wherever or whenever any of his friends and family needs him. He shows great patience in his personal relationships, whether they are social or professional.
Joe is able to handle adversity very well. Kourtney appreciates his rational and logical approach to problems in life.
