We are total beach bums! We love any beach at any time of year. We take weekend getaways and extended vacations to different beaches on the Carolina coast each year. Hilary's favorite time is the week we spend at the Outer Banks of North Carolina with our family each year. Aaron cannot wait to have a child of our own to enjoy vacations on the coast with. We foresee many sandcastles and sunny days in the waves as a part of their childhood. We also look forward to bringing our child to join all of the other cousins at our annual Thanksgiving week at the beach with Aaron's whole extended family.
We are an active and fun-loving couple. Playing drums since the age of 10, Aaron has spent most of his life as a part of different rock bands locally. He is a natural musician and has taught himself to play guitar over the years as well. Aaron looks forward to sharing his musical interest and talent with the child we bring home. We also share a love of live music with eachother. Each year we attend multiple concerts in our area from Rock to Bluegrass or Country. Other activities we love include biking and hiking local trails or playing a game of tennis with eachother. At home we like to read, watch college sports, and Hilary has just started to get into scrapbooking.
We are blessed with two adorable and hilarious dogs - Tulip and Kotzen! Tulip is a 10 year old miniature dachshund. She has so much personality and is the ultimate lap dog. Tulip loves to play with her squeaky toys and loves to eat just about anything. She makes us laugh all the time and we are both always singing songs about her around the house. Kotzen is a 7 year old Basset Hound named after one of Aaron's favorite guitar players. She is the most loving dog we've ever known. She wants to say hello to every new person or animal we come across. The two of them like to nap in the sun side by side. We often take them on neighborhood walks and we dress them up for the annual Halloween parade in our town. Both dogs are wonderful with our nephews and friend's children. They are very patient with young kids and seem happy to have their tail and ears pulled while they play with them. We laugh out loud when we think about the dynamic in our house with Tulip and Kotzen when a new baby comes home. I'm sure they will welcome the newest little member of our family with wagging tails and lots of licks!
