 We are Ed and Karen ... a family of two (or three if you count our dog Lucy) excited to get to know you and the child you are carrying. It seems impossible to accurately express who we are in a few short paragraphs. Simply put we are outgoing, energetic, happy people. We hope within these pages you will get a glimpse of the couple you could see providing the constant support and unconditional love that your baby needs.  |

Our friends and family would say that we are fun-loving, active and sporty. We both love to push ourselves physically through running in local races, playing tennis and other team sports, and working out regularly at the gym. We are also huge sports fans. We love watching college and professional sports, everything from football, basketball, and baseball to tennis and volleyball. Ed loves his New Orleans Saints football team, he is still on a high from their 2010 Super Bowl Championship. We enjoy taking family vacations and road trips. We love going to the beach in the summer, where we can play in the sand and jump the big waves. Last Thanksgiving, the entire family flew to New York City to celebrate the holiday. The highlight of the trip was watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, and we can't wait to be able to take our own child to see the parade.
We work very hard with our jobs, but we understand the importance of enjoying our down time. We enjoy going to fun restaurants and trying new foods. We also like to host barbecues and have game nights with friends and family. On any given weekend night, we are most likely cooking and trying a new recipe. Both of us are also big movie buffs. We are both easy going and love to laugh and no matter what we do, we love spending time together.
We would agree that our six-year-old Boston Terrier, Lucy, is our four-legged child. She brings so much fun and excitement into our home. As you can tell from the picture, Lucy has a lot of personality. She is extremely friendly and is loved by all our friends and neighbors. She loves playing ball, taking "road trips" in the car, watching animals on TV, and taking long naps in every room of the house. Lucy is wonderful with children and will be a great playmate for years to come. Dogs have always been important members of the family to both of us. When Karen was a child, her parents breed, raised, and showed Cocker Spaniels. All that time has certainly paid off. She is often been called a dog whisperer. Ed is definitely Lucy's best buddy. She waits by the door for his arrival every day.
We are both very family oriented and traditional, and love maintaining our family traditions and creating new ones. As a family, we take an annual trip to the pumpkin patch to pick out our pumpkins. Then we all run through the corn maze. Over the last few years, we have built sort of a reputation for having extravagant Halloween costumes. Our motto is, "If you're going to do something, you might as well do it up big." Several of our friends say that Karen's Cruella De Vil costume is their all-time favorite. We play our annual Thanksgiving Day basketball game at Karen's parents' house. For Christmas, we love to decorate the house and do all the little things to make the holidays special and memorable. We host a big Christmas party the same night that our subdivision has carolers singing in the neighborhood. We open one present from each other on Christmas Eve and we can't wait until the morning to see what is under the Christmas tree.
