Jackie just loves to hear how couples meet and fall in love so we would like to share our story with you. At a friend's (Jeff & Holly) wedding reception, we saw each other from across the room but never spoke a word to each other that night. We officially met a year later when a group of friends got together for a night out. Unfortunately, one of us was in a relationship so nothing transpired. In 2001, Jeff and Holly called each of us and said they were having a Labor Day Cookout for about 30 people and wanted to invite us over. They informed both of us in a very matter of fact way that the other person would be there. They knew that both of us were unattached and thought that we had a lot in common. Immediately after we arrived at the cookout, Joe thought something was up when no one else showed. Our friends finally admitted it was a set up and that they only had the best intentions. It turned out to be a wonderful day and we made plans to go out on our first date the following weekend. The rest as they say is history!

To be a parent takes a lot of hard work and dedication; you must be unselfish and a good role model. A child only knows from example so our goal as parents is to give your child unconditional love, support, guidance and encouragement. We feel it is very important for your child to be an individual and strive for what he or she desires out of life and we will be there every step of the way to make sure those dreams are achieved. We would pass on the same values we were raised with and those would be to have high morals, always be kind and respectful of others, get a good education and always remember where you came from.

Golfing in Kapalua, Hawaii

We love the outdoors! Joe learned how to play golf from his father when he was 8 years old and is very passionate for the game. Since we both share that interest, we enjoy traveling to play various golf courses and also attend professional tournaments as spectators. Our community has wonderful metro parks with 60 miles of paved trails that we enjoy using for bicycling and walking and is especially beautiful in the fall. During the winter months, we like to ski and keep warm by drinking hot chocolate! We either travel to local ski resorts or plan weekend getaways with friends to New England or out west. Our favorite sport to watch is football! Attending the games is very exciting but we have just as much fun rooting on our favorite teams at home or with friends.
