We want you to know how much we will love and care about the baby, even though the baby is only a dream for us at the present time. Even before we were married, we dreamed of the day when the two of us would become a family of three, or possibly more. We often talk about the children that will become part of our family. We talk about our hopes and our dreams, but mainly, just about our everyday life as a family. We cannot wait to share our life with children. We would like to share some of our hopes, plans and dreams with you.

How We Met
We met in the first Persian Gulf War. Sal was a merchant marine and Kathy was a registered nurse stationed aboard a Navy hospital ship. At the time, Kathy was an ensign in the U.S. Navy and Sal was a third mate working for the Department of Defense. Even though we were both stationed on the same ship, we did not officially meet until Kathy and some of her friends wandered into Sal's workspace. Kathy and her friends began to visit Sal on a regular basis during their lunch break. Soon, we were spending most of our free time together and quickly became best of friends.
Sal left the ship in early February to return to the states to upgrade his merchant marine license. Both of us knew that we had a special friendship and cared deeply for each other. However, we both realized that our friendship had blossomed into something when Sal called back to the ship on Valentine's Day to inform Kathy that he loved her. This call cost Sal $10.00 per minute. We were engaged when Kathy returned to the states in March and we were married the following March.
Hobbies
We have several hobbies. One of our favorite hobbies is taking our 16 foot jet boat out on the lake. As a merchant marine, Sal enjoys driving the boat and Kathy loves waterskiing; however, Kathy does drive the boat too, so that Sal can waterski or kneeboard.
Once we both get our fill of waterskiing, we normally find a quiet cove where we can swim, eat, read books and just hang out. A day on the lake is extremely relaxing and enjoyable. We cannot wait to take a child out on the boat and teach him/her to waterski and even to drive the boat.
In addition to waterskiing, we enjoy snow skiing, swimming, riding bicycles, reading books, playing tennis, softball and basketball.
Pets
With Mischief (aka Missy) and Priscilla
We have several dogs that we absolutely love. We have two older dogs, Priscilla, a 15 years old, 10 pound Cocker Spaniel/Yorkie mixed breed, and Mischief, a 13 years old, blue tick hound mixed breed, as well as a couple of younger dogs. Missy was diagnosed with cancer this summer. Even though her prognosis was poor even with surgery, we opted to give her every opportunity to live. Missy has already out
survived her prognosis and is currently doing well. Missy loves the extra attention that she is receiving from us.
We enjoy spending time with all of our dogs (“the girls”). Even though Missy and Priscilla are not as active, we enjoy taking “the girls” on walks, bike rides and even out boating. We often take them on vacation with us. At home, “the girls” have their own room off of the garage which is climate controlled and allows them access to a one acre fenced yard.
We love our dogs and would do absolutely anything for them, but we love our nieces and nephews more! We cannot imagine how much love we will feel for our children and can't wait to experience this type of love.
