Our Lifestyle

Our lifestyle is greatly impacted by Merlin's military career, which we love! The military life allows us to meet new people and experience diverse environments. We have lived in the Northeast enjoying the beauty of all four seasons and seasonal activities such as spring planting, summer beach days, autumn apple and pumpkin picking, sled riding and building snowmen during the winter. We have also been lucky enough to live down south where we met some of the nicest people, who truly do show southern hospitality. Also, down in North Carolina, we were able to walk the beach and engage in outdoor activities almost year round. Currently, we are living in Missouri, experiencing small-town life in America's heartland. We look forward to each new adventure and never can be sure where Uncle Sam will send us next. The military life is enriching and offers many great benefits.

Education

We feel that a well-rounded education is very important to include formal, religious, social, cultural, and physical education. We will always ensure that your child attends excellent schools with the very best teachers. Our plan is to open a 529 college fund very early on to prepare for any and all higher education goals the child will set. Religious education played a significant role for both of us growing up, and we plan to pass that blessing on to the child as church, Sunday school, and youth groups foster development of faith, morality, and compassion for others. We will socially educate your child from a very young age focusing on polite manners, courtesies, thoughtfulness and consideration of others. We will provide cultural education-both our culture and other cultures- through museums (historical, science, art, and children's), zoos (learning about animals from all over the globe), theater, musicals, and traveling. We also value physical education and we will teach your child about how to stay healthy and exercise. We will certainly make exercise fun through sports and activities that interest the child, whether they desire organized sports or dance classes, or if they prefer to just run around the yard freely. It is very important to us that the child is well-rounded and healthy and that they never stop learning!

Fun Games, Events and Hobbies We Look Forward to Sharing with Your Child

Horseback Riding in New England

We can not wait to share memorable events and hobbies with a son or daughter! We eagerly anticipate designing and building operational model airplanes or doll houses with a child. Beach days will be most treasured when building sandcastles and jumping the waves together. We anxiously await Easter egg hunts, apple and pumpkin picking, planning birthday parties, baking holiday cookies, and decorating the Christmas tree with a child. We look forward to watching the child celebrate special occasions and holidays and spend vacations with their cousins. We will certainly share a few of our favorites such as dance and wrestling. Angela has an aunt who loves NYC and looks forward to sharing the NYC experience as well as a Broadway musical with the child once he/ she is old enough. We are anxious to teach the child how to ride a bike, play sports, swim, and climb jungle gyms. We look forward to sharing our love of books and music with a child. We also look forward to sharing the magic of each day with a child. Children grow and discover something new every day and we look forward to sharing that the most!
