We plan to be very open with our children about his/her adoption. Kim's brother is engaged to a woman who had 4 children before she met him and we have considered them our niece and nephews from the beginning. Being part of a family is more than biological. Any child(ren) we adopt will have no shortage of family or love and will never feel that being adopted makes them any different. We will support our child(ren) should they ever decide to learn more about their birthparent(s). We will also let our child know that adoption simply means that they have birthparents and adoptive parents who have one thing in common, that they love them enough to want to give them the best possible life.

We travel a lot. We both enjoy traveling as well as visiting our family down south. Kim's dad lives in Florida for about five months a year and we visit him when we go south to visit Pat's family. We plan on buying a fifth wheel camper so that we can take our children on family vacations and make memories that we hope they will cherish as they grow up.

Pat enjoys playing golf immensely. Kim has grown to like the game also so that we can golf together. We also enjoy bike riding and going out to dinner with friends and family.

Kim enjoys yard work and landscaping, anything so that she can be outside in the sun! Kim's passion is baking which she learned from both her grandmothers. She bakes for every occasion. She has an extensive recipe collection with many that were passed down from her great grandmothers. The most notable is Cream of Wheat Pie, we know it sounds weird but it is fabulous!

Staying with Kim’s Dad in Florida

We enjoy a simple lifestyle. We both enjoy our jobs and our time off. Whenever possible we try to meet for lunch during the week. Our weekends are usually packed with family get-togethers for birthdays or baby sitting for our nephew. We enjoy spending nights at home watching movies or planning our next home remodeling project.

Even though our house is newer, we still have many projects to complete. Pat is wonderful at designing and in fact, he designed the plans for our house. Our current project is finishing our basement and making it into a family room in anticipation of children.

We also have two cats (Bugs, short for Bugs Bunny and Taz, short for Tasmanian Devil) They are indoor outdoor cats who are very spoiled. They even have a heated house for when they stay outside!
