When Andi was 11 years old, one of her sisters adopted a baby girl. Andi already had a nephew and was so excited to have a niece. Two years later, her sister adopted a baby boy. It was simply amazing how quickly our family got "hooked" on these 2 special babies; It was definitely love at first sight. We were lucky to have lived just 5 minutes away!

When Troy first met Andi's niece and nephew 5 years ago, he didn't know they were adopted. When he found out, he said he would have never known had he not been told because they were simply part of the family; just like the other nieces, nephews, cousins and grandchildren. Troy's family hasn't been exposed to adoption… yet. Andi feels very lucky to have seen adoption firsthand at an early age. She is also glad to have played such a large part in her niece's and nephew's lives.

They are grown adults now with children of their own. If we ever get to meet their birth parents, Andi plans to thank them for allowing our family to raise and love their children. They are more special to us today than ever. And they are more excited than anyone about our adoption plan, because they know how much we love them.

Andi has a deep respect and love for Troy. From the moment I met him, I knew that he was different. Troy is always kind, compassionate and understanding. (He's hilarious too!) Troy always looks at things from every view point and bases his decisions on what is best for his family, not just himself. Troy's caring nature makes him the best husband in the world; it also earns him a spot on the same pedestal as my father.

Andi started out being my best friend and ended up being my lovely wife. Marrying her was the best thing that I ever did. She has a very caring nature about her. Andi is a very understanding person and is always open to someone else's opinion or advice. She has a positive outlook on life and always brings me up on the rare occasion that I'm down. She is caring, has so much love to give and absolutely adores children. She has a great sense of humor and is so fun to be around. Not only is she my best friend, but she is my true love.

Happy Together

Andi and Troy have so much to offer and give. We love our life, but feel it is missing something. We both want children very badly. Andi is a natural mother. She cares for all children; hers, family, and friends. She loves babies and wants to care for one again. Troy loves kids and is just so natural with them. For some reason they are drawn to him. He thinks it's because he's just a big kid and they feel comfortable around him.

At first Troy didn't think he was ready for fatherhood. After marrying Andi and parenting Jessica for a few years, he realized what he was missing. He wishes that he could have been the father that she should have had when she was growing up. Troy looks forward to going to plays, musical performances, coaching baseball or soccer and just playing catch. We both look forward to raising a child, enjoying his or her childhood, preparing them for adulthood, and just letting them be a kid and enjoy life.
