« Prev Family     Next Family »

Even though we have never met each other we find ourselves thinking about the same thing, a baby. You are facing the decision of how to best plan for your baby's future and we are thinking of our family's future that hopefully includes a new baby. We are very excited and can't wait to hold and love a new baby. We pray that if it be God's will he will lead us to the right birthmother. If you are that birthmother, we pray for your and the baby's health and safety. If we are chosen we will be forever thankful.

Our Adoption Experience

Growing up Janice dreamed of being a teacher and a mom. After getting her teaching degree and getting married, Janice thought she would soon have what she had always wanted. After several years of marriage and not being able to get pregnant, we sought the help of doctors. They discovered that there were infertility issues. The doctor thought that he could help us. After months of being disappointed and emotionally drained we realized that we were not going to have a baby. The doctor said that he didn't understand why we could not get pregnant. Well, it is so clear looking back. We believe that it was God's plan all along for us to become parents through adoption. We are grateful to be parents and so blessed to have our special little boy. We believe that he is a gift from God. We also believe that God has another child that he wants us to parent and love. Now that we have experienced adoption we cannot imagine becoming parents any other way. Adoption is very special to our family.

Our son Ethan is 9 years old. We adopted him when he was a baby. He has blonde hair, green eyes, and an imagination that is endless. He is always telling us a plan about something he wants to build or do, and what he wants to be when he grows up.

Ethan loves to play baseball. His favorite position is catcher, but he is willing to play any position just to be on the field. His baseball catcher hero is Ivan Rodriguez, whose nickname is "Pudge". Ethan loves for people to call him "Pudge" too.

Ethan's other passion is firefighting. He has dreamed of being a firefighter since he was 4. He has a couple of firefighter suits and 2 real fire helmets that firefighters have given him. He loves to get suited up and go "fight fires" in our yard. He enjoys going to fire stations, talking to firefighters, getting tours, spraying water from their hoses, and collecting patches that they wear on their button up shirts. Sometimes at night he even has dreams about fighting fires.

Ethan is excited to become a big brother. He wants a brother to play with and to be able to teach him things. He has asked us if he can be the first one of us to hold the baby and to push the stroller. Ethan is a very caring, kind, and loving child who will make a great older brother.

Education

We believe that a good education is very important. Knowing that an education is necessary to succeed in life we will see that this child learns all that is possible. Education begins at home and we will teach from a very early age. We will support and encourage this child to learn all that he can. We will help him with his homework and hopefully instill in him a desire to achieve great things. We plan for him to complete high school and graduate from college. However we know that college is not for all people and if this child chooses to not attend college then we will support him in his decision.

Not only do we believe that an academic education is important but also an education in what kind of person to be. We hope to teach this child to have confidence in himself and be proud of who he is. We hope to teach him to have a caring heart that feels for others. We want him to learn respect and responsibility. We hope to teach him to work hard and always do his best.

What We Like to Do for Fun

At Home with Bailey and Buster

We really enjoy our free time. We love to spend time with our son, whether it is watching TV, playing catch, or just listening to him tell stories. He likes to collect fire patches that are worn on fireman's uniforms, so we always make time to visit the fire department when we visit a town that he doesn't have one from. We spend lots of time watching baseball. Our son plays peewee baseball, so there is lots of practice time as well as games. We also enjoy watching professional baseball. We've been to three different major league baseball parks and hope to visit more.

We have two little dogs, Buster and Bailey, who we like to hang out with too. We often sit on the front porch swing or in the backyard and let the dogs play. Buster is a real lap dog and Bailey is full of energy. They always want to be right with us.

Apart from one another, Eugene likes to work with his woodworking tools. He is always building something and is very good at it. Janice enjoys working in the flowerbeds and watching birds. We always have fun just being a family. We strive to make positive memories for our family. We would love to include another child in our memory making.
