Our Passions

We are passionate about many things but we both share the passion to educate or teach. Being educators allows us to do this on a daily basis. Whether Steve is in the classroom dissecting a piece of literature or explaining a new writing style or if he is on the baseball field after school showing his players how to hit a curve ball or teaching them the importance of teamwork he does it with a gleam in his eye and a smile on his face.

Adriana is cut from the same mold; this is obvious when you see her in action. Adriana's ability to bring out the best in every child she works with is a true testament to just how passionate she is about educating or helping today's youth. Whether she is assisting students academically or helping a child get through a rough day it is clear that this is what Adriana was meant to do.

We have many passions. We are fortunate that on a daily basis we are able to live out our one true passion of educating and more importantly caring for today's youth.

What We’ll Tell Your Child About Their Adoption

We believe in honesty, mutual respect, and open communication. We plan to tell your child from an early age about the adoption; explaining that it was a decision made out of genuine love… your love as well as ours. We will read to the child age appropriate books about adoption in an effort to deepen his/her understanding and help put circumstances in perspective. As a means of support we will provide ample opportunities for social interactions with other families who have adopted so that your child will never feel alone or different. Together as a family we will speak openly about the adoption, always welcoming questions or concerns. Your child will know of your selflessness, courage, and wish for him/her to have the most fulfilling and prosperous life possible.

What We Like to Do for Fun

Celebrating Our Anniversary

We both work very hard and so we look forward to spending quality time together as well as engaging in independent activities we enjoy during our leisure time. As a couple we love going to baseball games, seeing Broadway plays, and taking weekend trips to the shore. Most of all we enjoy simple pleasures like taking long walks in the park, going out for ice-cream and sitting by the fire watching movies while eating our favorite munchies. Since family and friends are very important to us we delight in hosting casual dinners and barbeques which entail food, fun, and games.

When apart from one another, Steve enjoys playing as well as coaching baseball and bowling. He especially takes pride in coaching his high school students and watching them develop their athletic abilities and sportsmanship. Adriana takes time to nurture and channel her creative energy by making gift baskets and scrapbooks. She also finds enjoyment in home decorating not just for herself but for family, friends, and acquaintances who often ask for her artistic eye.
