We both have had wonderful role models with our parents and feel they have given us all of the values and skills that we will need to become wonderful parents ourselves. We believe that education is so very important and we will encourage the child to always do their very best. Whatever their strengths, dreams, and passions are in life, we will encourage and support them.

How We Met
Tom was 16 and Lisa was 14. We both bowled in a Saturday morning junior league and also went to the same school. Tom was also a friend of Lisa's brother, Tony. Lisa had an immediate crush on Tom. He was a little hesitant though with the fact that Lisa was Tony's "little" sister. It took him awhile to come around. Tom Finally called Lisa one summer day and asked her to go to a cook out with him. That was the start of it all. We have been together ever since. Tom was 19 and Lisa was 17. We dated for six years before getting married. We have been happily married now for 18 years. Oh, and by the way, Tom and Tony are still best friends to this day.
What it Means to Be Parents and Our Strengths
Being parents would truly mean the world to us. We have been married for eighteen years and having a family is all we ever wanted. It has been our dream for so many years. In spite of the fact that we have a solid loving relationship, we have a void in our lives, an empty place in our hearts that can only be filled by a child. We have so much love to give and share with a child. We want to finally be able to say "yes" when asked, do you have any children. We would be the proudest parents that ever lived.
Both of our families growing up shared many of the same family values and traditions. Today, we share the same thoughts and ideas on how we would raise a child of our own. We can't wait to share the many family traditions that both of us have experienced as children and the many family traditions the two of us have started together.
We feel our strengths would be the fact we are best friends first and foremost. We have a strong healthy relationship and a marriage that we are proud of. We love and respect each other to the fullest extent.
Our family members are all behind us and support us in our decision to adopt. The child will have so much love and support from all of our family members.
Our Favorite Vacation Spot
At the Magic Kingdom
Well, this is an easy one for us. For us it is Disney World.
We both have very fond memories of family vacations as kids growing up. Both of our families vacationed at Disney World.
We spent our Honeymoon at Disney World and have been going back just about every year since. In 2000 we became Disney Vacation Club Members in the hopes of taking many family vacations with our children. Up to this point we haven't been able to fulfill that dream, but hopefully soon…
We have been very fortunate to be able to share our vacations with our families. We especially enjoyed the times we were able to bring our nephew Anthony, brother and sister-in-law, and Lisa's Mom and Dad with us. There is nothing like being at Disney World and seeing it through the eyes of a child - truly priceless. We look so forward to being able to share this experience with a child of our very own some day. As they say, it really is the most magical place on earth and we can't wait to tell a child of our own "We're going to Disney World"!
