Thirteen years ago we met on a blind date that was set up by a mutual friend. We found we had a lot in common and were drawn to each other. Much to our surprise we discovered our parents lived in the same neighborhood about a block apart. We found we share the same values and morals. As time went on we found not only was our love for each other growing but we had become best friends. After dating for three years we were happily married. It has now been ten wonderful years of marriage with many more to come.

We are so blessed to have Megan in our lives. Through the miracle of adoption we met Megan the day she was born. We enjoyed a call with her birthmother before Megan was born and we spent time together at the hospital getting to know each other more. We can't put into words how strong our bond and love is for Megan. We enjoy sending pictures and letters to Megan's birthmother on a regular basis. It is exciting to write to her about Megan's milestones and share pictures showing how she is growing. She is such a joy and blessing. We pray someday to be able to welcome another child into our family.

Playing in Our Yard

We love spending our free time together doing a variety of activities. We enjoy working on projects around the house, traveling, taking our dogs for walks and spending time with friends. We like going bowling, swimming, playing games and having BBQ's with family and friends.

We enjoy traveling to see our loved ones and friends that live out-of-state. One of our favorite vacation spots is the beach. We have friends and family that live there who we enjoy visiting and relaxing with. Also, we often go to amusement parks.

We spend a lot of time with our parents. We go out to eat, to the movies, and hang around playing games. Colleen enjoys baking, shopping and scrap booking with her mother, sister-in-law and mother-in-law. Alan enjoys going golfing and bicycling with his father and brother.
