How Adoption Has Affected Us Personally
Nicole's eldest brother was adopted after her mother couldn't get pregnant for many years and although her mother went on to have three biological children, they all grew up knowing his adoption story from a young age and never thought of him as anything less than a biological sibling. In fact, he was very protective of Nicole growing up and they still have a very close relationship. He is honored and excited that we chose to adopt and he hopes to adopt a child as well someday. So your child could have an uncle who was himself adopted.
Qualities We Love, Admire and Respect in Each Other
Nicole has always admired Matt's passion for life and his ability to enjoy the moment. He is a very thoughtful and
genuine person. He is always improving himself by learning more about everything he can whether it is current events, drawing, or learning to identify birds. Whatever he is interested in, he becomes an expert on the subject. Nicole feels
fortunate to have such a loyal, dependable and loving husband. Nicole thinks Matt will make a great father because he is very ethical and takes pride in everything that he does - and he will instill this self-confidence in a child as he guides his/her development. Also he is fun and can be very playful with children. He often makes up silly songs on his guitar and sings and plays for our nieces and nephews.
It is a hard thing to pinpoint "why" Matt loves his wife. More so, he feels it. He knows it like he knows his name, like he knows the sky is blue. His love for Nicole is in his soul, heart, toes, and laughter. She makes his life happy, wholesome and complete. She loves him and together their union is rock solid. He admires her calming presence and her ability to approach even difficult situations with a cool temperance. He respects Nicole for her determination. She sets her goals, plots her course, and achieves her goals. She is focused, smart, and completely resourceful.
What Makes Us Unique
Ready to Grill Salmon with Friends
Nicole is able to keep the household healthy with her acupuncture treatments and knowledge of herbal medicine. We have both avoided many illnesses with early treatment and strengthening the immune system during the winter. Nicole has helped heal Matt's injuries from bicycle accidents and running. She has successfully treated many children in her practice for everything from ear infections to allergies to bedwetting and looks forward to helping your child stay healthy. Matt is also very nurturing and is the main cook of the household. He takes an active role in keeping the household healthy through good food. He loves to create delicious meals from scratch of quality
ingredients, many of which we grow in the backyard garden. He goes to great lengths to preserve the harvest by canning and freezing food for the winter. When we had a dog Matt cooked him his own meals from scratch.
