We believe the greatest gift we can give your child is to love each other and to be good role models. We would provide an environment for your child that would allow him/her to be healthy, to love, to learn, and to be happy. Your child would not just have our love and support, but the love and support of our wonderful family and friends. We believe this child would be a miracle in our lives and we would hold your baby close to our hearts always.

| How Adoption Has Affected Our Lives |
We have many family members who have been touched positively by adoption. Theresa's three cousins were adopted from birth, the youngest of which was her favorite playmate as a child. Whenever her cousin mentioned she had been adopted, Theresa felt that it made her cousin even more special. This cousin now has three children of her own and she has named her daughter after Theresa. Theresa's brother, Gerry, married Sveta who had two young children already. Gerry adopted Vlad who was 10 years old and Christina, who was 8 years old at the time. The children are now teenagers looking forward
to attending college. He and Sveta also have their own birth child, Alex, who is our godson. Michael's brother, Terry and his wife, Denise, adopted Ryan from birth. Ryan just graduated college and has started teaching at a junior high school.
We are very close to these family members. They have encouraged us to adopt and have been sharing their knowledge with us. We have tried and are unable to have our own biological children. We believe that adopting will allow us to share our love with a child just like members of our families have successfully done.
| What We Expect We’ll Like Most About Parenting |
We have so much love for each other and so much love to give to your child. We know we would be positive role models. We would give your child the best education possible. We are patient and kind and will guide your child to love, to share, to care about his/her surroundings and those less fortunate than us. We look forward to teaching your child to walk, to run, to read, to ride a bicycle, to throw a ball, to play a musical instrument and many more activities. Theresa has a collection of children's books and hopes that your child will enjoy reading as much as she and Michael. Michael has a collection of cartoon Disney movies. He shares his passion of music with friends and family, and will also look forward to sharing this with your child. We are both interested in many things in life, so your child will be exposed to museums, travel, and sports. As we go through life, we will share our knowledge with your child, while also learning from your child. Our older friends live full, enjoyable lives and continue to see their futures ahead of them because of their curiosity and interest in the many things life has to offer. They have been our role models.
Vacation at Martha's Vineyard
We both are hard workers, but also know how to enjoy our leisure time. We have wonderful family who we visit often. Our families, who live out of state, provide us opportunities for mini-vacations to Maine, Connecticut, Washington DC, and New York City. We have close friends of all ages. Our friends' children have become our friends, ranging from toddler age to young adulthood. We also have special friends who are in their seventies who act like kids! Our young teenage friends want so much to grow up and our older friends want to always act young!
We are very youthful and active. We exercise, hike, bike and dance. We both read as much as possible. Michael learned how to use the computer a few years ago and is now a whiz on E-Bay and downloading music. Theresa had played the piano as a child and has taken lessons again. Michael has been riding a motorcycle for years. During the summer we enjoy taking rides by the coastline. We have friends who are musicians so we are constantly invited to see them perform whether it is jazz, rock, country, Irish music or blues. We love all kinds of music and feel it's a big part of our life which makes us feel happy and free. |
