Thank you for considering us to care for your child. We are already planning how we will honor you in your child's life. You will probably wonder how your child is doing after they come to live with us. Would you like visits, pictures, and letters? We are open to all forms of communication. Though we haven't met you, we already consider you and your child a part of our family - a welcome addition.

What We Like to Do For Fun

As a couple: We enjoy traveling. We love sunny spots: Hawaii, the Caribbean, and the beaches of South Carolina. We took our first cruise together last year and enjoyed the shore side excursions: kayaking in Key West, cooking lessons in Cozumel, and the zip line in Belize. We look forward to planning a vacation with this child and our extended family. One of the activities we enjoy nearly every day is exercising. We use the fitness equipment in the room over our garage and take long walks around area neighborhoods. We often take our dogs on walks with us in the evenings and look forward to walking with this child. We also enjoy playing Par 3 golf.

Robbie: I enjoy attending football and basketball games. I enjoy playing basketball as well. I love the exercise benefits and teamwork. I have made many friends through basketball and look forward to weekly play.

Suzanne: I enjoy reading and spending time with our dogs. I enjoy a close relationship with my parents and enjoy shopping with my Mom who lives a little more than an hour away. We like visiting consignment shops and antique stores.

Qualities We Love, Admire and Respect in Each Other

Robbie: I admire Suzanne's compassion for others. She shows concern for family, co-workers, friends, and pets. Suzanne is a dedicated aunt and god-parent. We have two nieces and two nephews. Suzanne loves to baby-sit and play with the younger niece and nephew who are now five and three years old. She is also willing to listen to problems and offer encouragement to her teenage niece and college age nephew.

Suzanne is a true professional and customers and co-workers have come to expect a smile and a positive attitude from her at work. Though she is a successful professional, she is looking forward to adding "Mom" to her resume.

Robbie: I admire Robbie's loyalty to his friends, his passion for physical fitness, and his educational accomplishments. He keeps in touch with friends all the way back to childhood. He frequently invites them to join him at Clemson athletic events and at church. Robbie is an excellent athlete. Good health is important to him and he works out or plays basketball every day. Robbie recently completed his MBA while working full-time and running the men's basketball league at church. He was dedicated to accomplishing this goal, graduating with honors. I am proud to be his wife and look forward to see him share his passions with this child.

Our Pets Are Important To Us

Jack & Sassy,
Dressed for Halloween

We have two dogs. We adopted "Jack" from the pound in 1997. He is a dachshund mix and weighs about 9 pounds. He suffered a stroke a few years ago which affected both his front and back legs. We sought out the best care for Jack and his veterinarian says we loved him back to health. At 19, he is fully recovered and receives monthly treatments to maintain his activity level. We even give him treatments at home. "Sassy" is a full-blooded dachshund. She weighs about 14 pounds. Sassy was given to us by a relative three years ago. She is twelve years old and is active and in good health. Sassy has been a welcome addition to our family. She and Jack get along very well.

Our pets are considered members of our family. They are wonderful companions and we enjoy taking them on walks - Jack even has his own stroller which he uses if he tires out. Our parents love them and think of them as their "granddogs." Our three-year-old niece and five-year-old nephew love to pet them and give them treats. We look forward to this child playing with our dogs some day.
